If you're in Brisbane and read my journal. I expect you to come to see St Matthews Passion.
Uni students $20. Grown up A reserve $40 (usually $48) or B reserve $35 (usually $40). The production is semi-staged and I get to wear docs, jeans and a t-shirt! It's on Wednesday June 8 at 7:30pm at the Concert Hall at QPAC.
Basically I absolutely worked my arse off all weekend on this, so I would like people to come and watch all the work I put in PLEASE!!!!! *begs profusely*
Choir camp was a lot of fun. Shin and I really enjoyed having some time away and we got a little privacy. Emmie had so very many lovely babysitters who offered her millions of cuddles. She was an incredilbly well behaved and beyond sweet baby.
I had a lot of fun getting to know a lot of the people better. However the weekend was marred by me feeling incredibly insecure by the end of choir. My tummy is a little pudgy at the moment and quite a few people were asking me if I'm pregnant again!!! What I think is more that it's that I've lost the rest of my post-baby fat and my tummy muscles are still a bit floppy. Admitedly I am looking a little pudgy and dowdy at the moment, but that rumour spread faster than I was expecting. People were congratulating me by the end of today.
The music is sounding really good and I can't wait until we start rehearsing with the guest conductor tomorrow night. I'm a little nervous about it too ofcourse.
I kind of felt very much like Kevin was very specifically picking on me today. Everytime he wanted to correct something done by the Soprano 2's he would straight at me (there are 15 of us). So I am starting to worry it's me screwing up all the time and that I'm simply not noticing. I'm hoping he's just directing it at me because he thinks I'm the least likely to get huffy and take it personally. After the you look pregnant thing I did start to take it a little personally.
overall camp was a blast and I hope I get the opportunity to do that again some time.
Things are definately better than they were during my last post.
